ADVERTISEMENT Ghislaine Maxwell has been found guilty of sex trafficking and other charges - and speculation was mounting on Wednesday night about who could be most concerned by her new incentive to 'name names'. Maxwell, 60, was convicted after six days of deliberation by a jury of six men and six women. They found the British socialite guilty on five of six counts - all except enticing an individual under the age of 17 to travel with intent to engage in illegal sex acts. She faces a maximum sentence of 65 years in prison for all five counts, giving her ample motivation to 'flip' and discuss the actions of others within Jeffrey Epstein's circle. Epstein himself took his own life in jail, awaiting trial, in August 2019. His victims have been calling for others he associated with to be held account, and pointing out that the disgraced pedophile financier counted a plethora of famous faces among his friends. Maxwell could now be willing to implicate others, in order to reduce her sentence. Maxwell's family attorney, Leah Saffian, who has been a regular in the courtroom seated with Maxwell's family, was spotted by The Miami Herald on Tuesday beckoning over James Hill, a producer for ABC News, to introduce him to Maxwell. Maxwell smiled and appeared to introduce herself to Hill and was heard to say that she was willing to speak to the media, the paper reported - before a U.S. marshal told the journalist to return to his seat.

Epstein, found dead in his prison cell in 2019 while facing child sex-trafficking charges, was stupendously wealthy and undoubtedly handsome. He was also socially inept, awkward, taciturn and, of course, amoral. Maxwell, by contrast, was gregarious, Oxford-educated and formidably well-connected. Socially supremely confident, by turns charming and eccentric, she was also ruthlessly self-serving. She became first his lover then his constant companion and lady of the house; his confidante and co-conspirator. She offered him the entrée he craved into a world of high-society movers and shakers, of presidents and royalty. How else would the man from working-class Brooklyn ever have met Prince Andrew without her introduction? Epstein, in return, kept Maxwell in the lavish lifestyle of the super-rich, to which her childhood - growing up in a 53-room mansion in Oxfordshire with private yachts and jets at her disposal - had accustomed her. It is difficult to pinpoint when she lost her moral compass - or, indeed, whether she ever possessed one - but the roles she assumed became darker.

Once a well-heeled socialite and daughter of a British publishing magnate, Ghislaine Maxwell now faces the rest of her life in a tiny prison cell after being convicted of sex trafficking.

Ghislaine Maxwell, 60, was found guilty of sex trafficking of children on Wednesday, and could be sentenced to up to 65 years in prison. She may well be sent to Danbury prison in Connecticut.

Los Angeles attorney Lisa Bloom said the conviction of Epstein's madame for sex trafficking brings the Queen's favorite son one step closer to facing a jury.

The death rate from COVID-19 in the US remains stubbornly high compared to the UK and other developed nations, raising questions about why the world's largest economy hasn't been able to better rein in mortality. Considering a variety of factors, it is likely that differences in vaccination rates are playing a key role in the higher US death rate, with less widespread adoption of vaccines in America fueling more severe illness and death.

'We believe she will be vindicated': Ghislaine Maxwell's siblings stay SILENT on leaving NYC court after her underage sex trafficking conviction but issue statement saying her appeal has begun

The siblings of Ghislaine Maxwell have already begun appealing her sex trafficking conviction, saying that they 'firmly believe' in their sister's innocence and are 'disappointed' in the U.S. jury's guilty verdict delivered Wednesday. 'We believe firmly in our sister's innocence—we are very disappointed with the verdict. We have already started the appeal tonight and we believe that she will ultimately be vindicated,' the Maxwell's siblings wrote in a statement released to independent journalist Jay Beecher. Maxwell was found guilty of helping the late Jeffrey Epstein sexually abuse teenage girls. She was convicted on five of six counts related to recruiting and grooming four teenagers for Epstein, her former boyfriend, between 1994 and 2004. Epstein killed himself in 2019 in a Manhattan jail cell while awaiting his own trial on sex abuse charges. After six days of deliberation, a jury of six men and six women found the British socialite guilty on five of six counts - all except enticing an individual under the age of 17 to travel with intent to engage in illegal sex acts.

Tech entrepreneur Scott Borgerson, 46, secretly married 59-year-old Maxwell in 2016, but the union was kept secret even from their closest friends and family until it was revealed by prosecutors in bail hearings. Despite his offer to post a $25 million bond to secure Maxwell's pre-trial release, which the court rejected, Borgerson's name has not been mentioned throughout her three-week trial, and he did not attend the proceedings in Manhattan. Instead, Borgerson has been spotted in the company of a new female friend in the elite New England enclave of Manchester-by-the-Sea, Massachusetts, where he keeps a $2.4 million mansion that he once shared with Maxwell and his two children from a prior marriage.

BBC is slammed after guest pundit Alan Dershowitz claimed Maxwell guilty verdict 'weakens' Virginia Giuffre's case against Prince Andrew without reminding viewers he represented Jeffrey Epstein and is also accused of sexual assault by her

The New York sex abuse case against Prince Andrew was weakened because prosecutors in the Ghislaine Maxwell trial failed to call his accuser as a witness, it was claimed last night. Jeffrey Epstein's former lawyer Alan Dershowitz insisted the fact the Maxwell jury didn't hear from Virginia Giuffre was because the authorities don't believe she is telling the truth. But critics pointed out Mr Dershowitz is also accused of sexual abuse by Ms Roberts, said that taints his opinion on the case and slammed the BBC for interviewing him on the subject without giving any context.

The trial of Ghislaine Maxwell cast a spotlight on the lives of her siblings who put their own reputations on the line by showing public support for her.

Fugitive bodybuilder, 29, 'shot his parents on Christmas Day at their Long Island mansion during custody dispute over his one-year-old - in front of the child and baby mama': He's cuffed and extradited to NY after fleeing New Jersey

Long Island bodybuilder Dino Tomassetti Jr., accused of shooting his parents on Christmas day, allegedly fired on the couple during a custody dispute over his one-year-old baby, Nassau County police said Wednesday. Tomassetti Jr., 29, was arraigned Wednesday afternoon on two counts of attempted murder. He was placed back in custody directly after the hearing on Long Island and no bail has been set. The argument over the child reportedly escalated at about 10 a.m. on December 25. The hulking trainer allegedly tried to leave the family's 8,751 square-foot Hewlett Harbor mansion with the child, but his parents tried to stop him, according Nassau Police Commissioner Patrick Ryder. 'He became involved in a domestic dispute with his parents who were caring for the one-year-old, during that argument it obviously escalated,' Ryder said during a Wednesday morning press conference. '[He] tried to take the child from [his] parents and attempted to leave the residence. When the parents objected, the defendant produced a .22-caliber pistol.' The police commissioner said the child's mother and the infant witnessed the shooting.

King, 37, did not share the reason behind the shock split but sources close to the couple have revealed Owens, 42, had struggled to cope with the fame and publicity surrounding his wife.  A friend of Owens told DailyMail.com: 'Cuffe is a very private person and I don't think he fully understood the dynamics of marrying someone who is the complete opposite when it comes to being in the spotlight. 'Meghan is all about sharing her life on social media, something Cuffe was okay with at the beginning, but when reality set in he realized he couldn't live his life that way.'

'It's not science anymore - it's propaganda': Unvaccinated Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers doubles down on COVID vaccine skepticism

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has doubled down on his skepticism of the COVID-19 vaccine. 'If science can't be questioned, it's not science anymore,' Rodgers said during his weekly virtual appearance on Pat McAfee's SirusXM show . 'It's propaganda. That's the truth.' Rodgers, who recovered from a bout with COVID-19 last month, has been denounced by critics for misleading the public about his vaccination status before the season. When asked by reporters at August's training camp if he'd received the COVID-19 injection, Rodgers described himself as 'immunized,' but neglected to explain that he hadn't received a vaccine and was actually referring to a doctor-prescribed therapeutic treatment. Rodgers's vaccination status was revealed in early November when he tested positive for coronavirus and was subsequently required to quarantine for 10 days - the minimum amount of time an unvaccinated player is asked to quarantine, per league rules at the time (the NFL recently cut the quarantine time down to five days, per CDC guidance). After initially blaming the media and the 'woke mob' for the misunderstanding, Rodgers told McAfee on November 9 that he wanted to apologize 'to anybody who felt misled.' He also said he combatted his COVID-19 infection with recommendations from podcaster and friend, Joe Rogan. Specifically, Rodgers said he took monoclonal antibodies and Ivermectin - a drug used to work animals in its veterinary form that is unproven to treat COVID-19. The FDA has not approved the drug for use in preventing or treating coronavirus in humans and has warned patients against ingesting veterinary Ivermectin. On Tuesday, Rodgers claimed the treatments he used to deal with COVID-19 are secretly being adopted by NFL teams.

Florida's surgeon general Dr Joseph Lapado said the sudden suspension of the Covid antibody drugs removes the health care provider's ability to 'decide the best treatment options for their patients'.

Now, Catherine has revealed the real reason they were forced out of their $10 million mansion during an exclusive interview with DailyMail.com. She said they spent millions of dollars on building the house, only for the contractor to take their money and disappear before finishing it. They were forced to live in the unfinished home without gas for more than two years - which meant they didn't have heat or hot water. In the end, they couldn't get a certificate of occupancy because the city told them 'the house would never pass inspection because he did the job so poorly' so they were forced to leave.

Several swimmers on the University of Pennsylvania swim team considered boycotting their final home meet of the season, DailyMail.com can reveal. The boycott would be in protest over the advantages of transgender teammate Lia Thomas, who has crushed records since competing on the women's team. Thomas previously competed on the UPenn men's swim team for three years as Will before transitioning. The swimmers ultimately decided against a boycott, for fear that it would keep them out of the Ivy League championship in February. A source close to the team told DailyMail.com, 'There is a feeling among some of the girls that they should make some sort of statement'. 'Knowing they do not have backing from the school or NCAA, they're reluctant to jeopardize their opportunity to make the elite Ivy League squad,' a source said. A parent of a UPenn swimmer said, 'It's possible the swimmers may end up doing nothing because they are so afraid to be perceived as transphobic'.

Researchers believe he left hints at his true identity in St Matthew's Church in the rural village.
